Giffard Crème de Cassis d'Anjou Blackcurrant Liqueur
Giffard Crème de Cassis d'Anjou is a blackcurrant liqueur, dark red in color with garnet red nuances. The aroma is slightly peppery and of great aromatic intensity, and the taste is slightly tart with the strong aroma of blackcurrants. The fruit's bitterness is subtle at the finish.
Blackcurrants are the fruit of the Cassissier plant, which grows wild in the mountainous and cold regions of Europe and certain countries in North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. These berries, with their smooth skin, are very aromatic and are therefore often used in liqueurs. Once used as a medicinal preparation, crème de cassis, as it is known today, was created in Burgundy in the 19th century. Crème de cassis contains a minimum of 15% alcohol and a minimum of 400 grams of sugar per liter.
Store in a dry and cool place, if possible away from light. Close the bottle tightly after use.
