Kingsbarns Bell Rock Cask Strength 61.1% Single Malt Whisky

The popular Kingsbarns Bell Rock returns as a Cask Strength limited release. The first edition was bottled at 46% ABV and released in 2021. This edition elegantly presents an artful fusion of 30% ex-Bourbon casks and 70% ex-Oloroso sherry casks. It yields a single malt that is fruity and spicy, and has an ABV of 61.1%. 

Kingsbarns Bell Rock is distilled with local Fife barley and, after distillation, matured in ex-Bourbon casks and ex-Oloroso sherry casks. The resulting whisky is bursting with fruit and spice flavours. With a rich character of caramel and fruit, Bell Rock is filled with delicious notes of pecan pie and subtle baked fruits. It is non-chill filtered and has natural colour. 

The nose offers a rich and velvety aroma of caramel, baked meringue and roasted almonds. The taste experience brings back memories of pecan pie, caramelized orchard fruits and fresh pastries. The finish completes the experience with notes of caramel sauce and crème brûlée.

Kingsbarns limited releases are made with locally grown barley, and water from their own source is the foundation of their whisky. It is carefully distilled with a particularly long fermentation process and taken from a high cut point. The Kingsbarns style is characterized by a light elegance as well as fruity and floral notes. With balance in mind, they combine the distillate with the wood by using hand-selected casks to enhance and complement the signature profile. Released in small batches, their limited releases are examples of experiments in new whisky avenues. 

There are only 3600 bottles in total worldwide of this single malt whisky. 61.1% - 70 cl.
