Mosgaard Port Wine Cask Single Malt Whisky
Mosgaard Organic Single Malt Whisky Port Wine Cask is made from Danish, organically grown barley malt and, after a long fermentation, has been distilled twice in a specially built copper pot still. This produces a clean new spirit that already has Mosgaard's characteristic notes of malt, peach, and apples.
After distillation, Mosgaard Organic Single Malt Whisky Port Wine Cask is aged for 4 years in small 50-liter casks that have had staves from Ruby and Tawny port added, which have imparted both vinous and spicy notes to the whisky. Mosgaard Organic Single Malt Whisky Port Wine Cask has vinous tasting notes of dark grapes, coffee, caramel, plums, anise, bitter almonds, cinnamon, and apples.
The whisky won a Silver Medal at the World Whisky Awards 2021 and a Gold Medal at BISC 2020 with 94 points. Limited edition of 400 bottled units. Batch 4718 - bottled July 2023.

Mosgaard Whisky comes from the award-winning Danish micro-distillery Mosgaard on Southern Funen, where Gitte and Jes Mosgaard produce whisky from Danish, organically grown barley malt.
