SBS Origin Ecuador Malacatos White Rum is a new release in the SBS Origin series, which features unaged versions of well-known, aged rums and marques from the SBS series. The series offers the opportunity to taste the rum in its original form, before it has been barrel-aged. SBS Origin Ecuador Malacatos is a white rum from Ecuador, based on fresh sugarcane juice and distilled on column stills in 2022. SBS Origin Ecuador Malacatos is a powerful rum with an aroma of plenty of ripe fruits and hints of lime, olives, and clay. The taste is not quite as overwhelming as the aroma, and the rum's flavor is well-balanced with touches of lime, sugarcane juice, olives, and fresh, green fruits. SBS Origin Ecuador Malacatos is sharp and intense, yet still delicate, and is suitable for both drinking neat and in, for example, a daiquiri. 57% - 70 cl.

SBS stands for Single Barrel Selection, and this series of rums is produced by the Danish rum importer, 1423 ApS, who are also behind brands such as Ron Esclavo. The SBS Rum releases are generally unsweetened (without added sugar), non-chill filtered, and at a higher alcohol strength (some of the SBS rum bottlings are even bottled at cask strength).
