The rum was distilled at the Beenleigh distillery in South Queensland, Australia, in December 2013 and bottled in September 2022. The rum is made from local Australian sugarcane molasses, and several different yeast strains were used for fermentation. This gives the rum a fresh character and a sweet, fruity taste, which is enhanced by distillation in a copper pot still. Compagnie Des Indes Australia Beenleigh AD116 DK edt. 2022 rum has a light colour and delightfully fresh aromatic notes of fruit and freshly cut grass. The taste has notes of honey, stone fruit and vanilla, culminating in fresh grass in the aftertaste. The rum is bottled at cask strength and is completely without added sugar or colouring. Limited edition of 225 numbered bottles.
