The Glenrothes 18 Year Old Single Malt Whisky
With the Soleo Collection series, Glenrothes breaks with its old philosophy of only bottling the whisky when it is completely ready, and also of releasing a number of "single vintage" editions. The Soleo Collection from The Glenrothes is thus a new series that moves away from vintages and instead focuses on good old age statements. All expressions in the series – including this The Glenrothes 18 years whisky – are matured in sherry casks to create a rich and full-bodied taste experience. The series is also named after the soleo method used in sherry production in Jerez. The Glenrothes 18 years has orange and vanilla on the nose with a hint of almond and cherry. It has notes of dried fruit, pear and ginger and a peppery and fruity aftertaste. 100% natural colour and no chill-filtration - 43% ABV - 70 cl.

Glenrothes
The Glenrothes distillery was founded in 1879 and is located in the Scottish Speyside region. They do not malt their own barley but purchase lightly peated malt from external sources. After fermentation and distillation, the whisky is matured in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks. A significant portion of Glenrothes' production is used for Famous Grouse and Cutty Sark.
