La Gauloise Liqueur Bicentenaire Verte
La Gauloise Liqueur Bicentenaire Verte is produced at the French Distillerie du Centre in Limoges. The distillery was founded in the 1780s, and the recipe for this green herbal elixir and liqueur is also very old. The taste is quite reminiscent of the well-known Chartreuse, though it is slightly softer and less sharp due to the lower alcohol content (48% instead of 55%).
When smelling and tasting La Gauloise Liqueur Bicentenaire Verte, one detects spicy herbs, dried flowers, mint, wormwood, fennel, and vanilla.
