Zond5 er en 100% Espadin "Agave Power for Mixing", og den ligger med sin røgede note op ad en mezcal.
Beu Spirits står bag denne agavespiritus, der er produceret hos San Dionisio Ocotepec i Oaxaca, Mexico, hvor man gror sin egen 100% Espadin agave. Agave-hjerterne (piñas) bages i underjordiske stenovne sammen med agavebladene, hvilket fremkalder den velkendte røgede note i mezcal. Efter naturgæringen i de åbne kar foregår destilleringen i traditionelle pot stills.
Zond5 har mineralske noter, citrus og let røg. Den er blød nok til at nyde rent, og den er glimrende i en Paloma cocktail, m.m. 45% vol. - 70 cl.
