The Thin Blue Line is a voluntary non-profit association founded by rank-and-file police officers following two serious shooting incidents in 2016 (one of which was fatal). The association's purpose is to support police employees (or their relatives and survivors) who have suffered serious physical or psychological injury in the performance of their duties. Old St. Croix (formerly known as A.H. Riise) produces a wide range of extra sweet sugarcane spirits as well as liqueurs, bitters, and licorice shots. As of June 13, 2025, the name has been changed from A.H. Riise to Old St. Croix. Previously, the products could be classified as rum, but as of May 25, 2021, new EU legislation came into force, stating that rum must not contain more than 20 grams of product for sweetening per liter.
