When Casa Oliver launched their Ron Quorhum (QRM) series in 2013 with the 12, 15, 23 and especially the Quorhum 30 editions, sales "exploded" completely, and for many years thereafter the series was one of the best-selling in the rum category at the time. Since then, only a couple of sporadic launches have occurred, but now, at long last, something is happening again with QRM.
The Quorhum 2026 series includes this Terra Nova 16 Artisanal Rum, which combines rums from Cuba, Venezuela, and Colombia. This rum unites the powerful Cuban style, the rich Colombian notes, and the light, elegant rum from Venezuela.
The rum is based on both younger and older rum distillates of various kinds – both more robust and lighter types. Terra Nova 16 contains rum distillates up to 16 years old, matured in ex-rye whiskey barrels made of American oak.
Quorhum Terra Nova 16 is a harmonious rum blend that captures the essence of Cuba, Colombia, and Venezuela. The aroma offers oak, nuts, and ripe fruits. On the palate, one finds oak spices, light fruit notes, caramel, and vinous grape notes.
