Ron Sostenible 8 Year Triple Cask Rum is an incredibly tasty rum with a perfect balance of sweetness and complexity. It is made from freshly pressed sugarcane juice, which is unusual for rum made in the Dominican Republic. This premium rum has been aged for at least 8 years in bourbon barrels, followed by 5 months in former Pedro Ximenes sherry casks and Oloroso sherry casks, resulting in a very distinctive full-bodied, smooth, and utterly delicious rum, perfect for slow enjoyment.

On the palate, you perceive nuances of figs, dates, and raisins, as well as caramel, vanilla, orange peel, and spicy oak.

Ron Sostenible is a sustainable rum series made by A Clean Spirit, which has entrusted the production of Ron Sostenible to extremely knowledgeable hands at a distillery in the Dominican Republic. The distillery places maximum focus on environmentally friendly practices. All CO₂ from the fermentation process is collected in pressure vessels, which are used for soft drinks. All organic material and wastewater from the fermentation process are led out to the sugarcane fields as organic fertilizer for new sugarcane, and the biomass is used as fuel to distill the alcohol.

The finished rum is transported from the Dominican Republic to Europe by sailing ship - entirely without engine power. The bottles are made from remelted recycled glass and produced in Europe to reduce CO2 emissions.
