Rum Nation Dominicana 8 years is a vibrant 8-year-old rum from the Dominican Republic, made from fresh sugar cane juice. The rum comes from a modern and eco-conscious distillery east of Santo Domingo, but it is the first Rum Nation product to be blended, flavored, and bottled in Frederiks, Denmark.
Although the rum is technically in the Spanish style, it is more complex and dark than most other Spanish rums. This is because it is made directly from sugar cane juice, whereas Spanish rum is typically made from sugar cane molasses.
Rum Nation Dominicana 8 years has an aroma characterized by fresh and vibrant sugar cane juice, with notes of green eucalyptus, fresh fruit, and ripe pears, as well as light chocolate aromas. The rum has an extremely smooth texture with notes of orange peel, pineapple, and ripe fruits that linger on the palate, before finally transitioning into a long-lasting and smooth aftertaste filled with notes of chocolate and coffee.
A complex yet easy-drinking rum with an understated sweetness, suitable for dessert or as an evening drink. 40.9% – 70 cl.

Rum Nation was founded by Italian Fabio Rossi, who released his first rum in 1999, and Rum Nation is a so-called "independent bottler," as is also the case with, for example, Planteray (formerly Plantation).
