BenRiach

The BenRiach whisky distillery is located in the Speyside region and has struggled for its existence on several occasions. The distillery opened in the 1890s but closed again as early as 1900. In 1965, BenRiach reopened but then had to close again in 2002. In 2004, new owners took over, and since then, quite a few new BenRiach whisky variants have entered the market with different flavour profiles and cask maturation types. BenRiach produces approximately 1.5 million litres of alcohol annually, and part of the production is used for blended whisky.
