Rum from Nicaragua

Rum from Nicaragua is typically Spanish-style rum based on molasses. The most well-known rum from Nicaragua is probably Flor de Cana, but there are also bottlings from Bristol Classic, Plantation, and Rum Company that are based on Nicaraguan rum. Here, the blending has been carried out by independent producers. Nicaragua, located in Central America bordering Honduras to the north and Costa Rica to the south, is about 3 times the size of Denmark and has approximately the same number of inhabitants (just over 5 million).
