Ron Abuelo XV 15 Year Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish Rum is part of Abuelo's 2016 Collection Finish releases, which also include a Tawny Port Finish and a Napoleon Cognac Finish. For a long time, there has been a significant jump in price (and quality?) from Abuelo's 12-year edition to their exclusive Centuria edition, and with Ron Abuelo XV 15 Year Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish, we should get a rum that lies between these two. The rum is said to be selected from Abuelo's finest reserves, and after an initial aging in American oak barrels, the final aging took place in Oloroso Sherry casks. 40% – 70cl.

Ron Abuelo is a consistently medium-sweet rum series, which, however, even from its 7-year-old edition, also boasts good complexity that balances the sweetness in a pleasant way. In other words, Ron Abuelo offers good rum for your money! The distillery's showpiece is Ron Abuelo Centuria Reserva de la Familia, which was named Best New Rum at the Golden Rum Barrel Awards in October 2011 in London.
