Antico Monastero 2023 Piedmont Red DOC
Antico Monastero 2023 Piemonte Rosso DOC is a delightful red wine from Piedmont in northern Italy. This alluring Piemonte Rosso is made from 60% Barbera, 20% Nebbiolo (from young vines in Barbaresco), 10% Shiraz and 10% Albarossa, mainly harvested in Langhe and the southern part of the Asti region.
On the nose, you'll find aromas of dark fruits like black cherries and blackberries, as well as notes of spices and herbs. Piemonte Rosso has a medium body and a silky smooth structure, with plenty of concentrated fruit on the palate. But also a light, fresh acidity and a lovely little characteristic touch of dryness due to the tannins in the Nebbiolo grape.
Antico Monastero 2023 Piemonte Rosso DOC is a wonderful all-round glass of Piedmont wine for the price. 13.5% - 75 cl.
