Ron Carupano is today among the leading producers in Venezuela, and they also have the country's first and only female Master Blender, Carmen López de Bastidas. The casks are sealed and are not refilled as the rum evaporates. Carupano Reserva 18 Limitada rum is in the medium-sweet range and contains up to 18-year-old distillates from American oak casks. Carupano Reserva 18 Limitada rum has notes of, among other things, fig, honey, candied fruit, vanilla, and chocolate.
