Ezra Brooks 99 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Ezra Brooks 99 Bourbon is a classic bourbon, aged in the old-fashioned way in new charred American oak barrels, and made with Lux Row's own recipe or rye bourbon mash bill, consisting of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley.
This bourbon distinguishes itself in taste from other bourbons in a couple of characteristic ways. Firstly, it is a so-called sour mash bourbon. This does not mean that the bourbon has a sour taste, but rather that some of the residual materials from previous distillations are added to the next batch.
Another distinctive feature is that Ezra Brooks is charcoal filtered after distillation, resulting in a characteristically mild taste with notes of caramel, vanilla, chocolate, and spices.
Ezra Brooks 99 Bourbon, as the name suggests, is bottled at 99 U.S. proof – which corresponds to 49.5% alcohol. The bottle contains 70 cl.
