Fanø Ship's Rum The Mermaid
Fanø Skibsrom Havfruen is a sweet and aromatic sugar cane spirit, tapping into a 300-year-old rum tradition. For several centuries, rum was an important part of sailors' daily provisions, and to make it go down easier, the rum of the time was usually mixed with local spices, sugar, and fruits before being poured into barrels and aged on board. Fanø Skibsrom Havfruen is a sugar cane spirit based on rum that has been distilled in Jamaica and then aged in port wine barrels on Fanø. Fanø Skibsrom Havfruen has been spiced with heather honey and sea buckthorn from Fanø, as well as vanilla from Madagascar and muscovado sugar. 41.5% - 70 cl. Fanø Skibsrom Havfruen won a bronze medal at IWSC 2019.
