GlenDronach Ode to the Valley Single Malt Scotch Whisky
GlenDronach Ode to the Valley Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is one of three NAS (non-age statement) 2025 editions in The Master's Anthology series from The GlenDronach Distillery in Aberdeenshire.
What's special about the Ode to the Valley whisky is that it has been aged in a combination of Ruby port wine casks from the Douro Valley in Portugal and the signature sherry casks that GlenDronach is so well known for. This unique cask maturation makes it the fruitiest whisky edition in the Master's Anthology series. According to Global Brand Ambassador, Stewart Buchanan, the whisky is 8-12 years old.
When you nose the GlenDronach Ode to the Valley Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, you perceive summer berries, chocolate, and sugar-glazed apricot. When you then taste the whisky, fine notes of blackberry, apple, gingerbread, and Damson plums emerge, along with a hint of licorice in the aftertaste.

GlenDronach is located in the Highland region and is one of Scotland's oldest distilleries. GlenDronach was founded by James Allardice, who in 1826 obtained a license to produce whisky on the site. Production is based on non-peated malt, which is sourced externally. Maturation takes place in used bourbon casks and European oak casks, but sherry cask maturation is also used, which helps to create GlenDronach's characteristic whisky flavour...
