Michter's 10 Year Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey

Michter's 10 Year Kentucky Straight Rye is one of Michter’s most limited production items. It continues the legacy of America's first whiskey category (rye) and America's first whiskey company (Michter's, originally known as Shenk's). After an almost three-year absence from the market, Michter's then Master Distiller Willie Pratt finally gave the green light for the re-release of Michter's 10 Year Straight Rye in April 2014.

This whiskey is crafted from the highest quality American rye and aged for 10 years in a hand-selected, charred oak barrel until it meets Michter's exceptional quality standards. It is then further mellowed by their signature filtration.

The 10 Year Old Rye reflects the outstanding result of uncompromising craftsmanship and Kentucky's unparalleled climate for maturing excellent whiskey. Only a limited number of barrels mature with the elegance required to be included in these very limited releases – often they are also significantly older than the age statement on the label.

Michter's 10 Year Kentucky Straight Rye offers deep notes of vanilla and caramel, toasted almonds and cinnamon with a generous dose of crushed pepper and a hint of orange citrus. 46.4% - 70 cl.
