Mosgaard Palo Cortado Single Malt Whisky

Mosgaard Organic Single Malt Whisky Palo Cortado Cask, made from Danish, organically grown barley malt. After an extra long fermentation, the whisky is slowly distilled twice in a custom-built copper pot still. This results in a very clean new spirit, which already has Mosgaard's characteristic notes of malt, peach, and apples.

Mosgaard Organic Single Malt Whisky Palo Cortado Cask has matured in a custom-made American white oak barrel, which was first toasted and then contained Palo Cortado sherry. After a long maturation period, the whisky has absorbed the flavor of the barrel and developed notes of caramel, spicy malt, bitter oranges, plums, green apples, marzipan, and citrus.

50 cl – 53% ABV.

Mosgaard Whisky comes from the award-winning Danish micro-distillery Mosgaard on Southern Funen, where Gitte and Jes Mosgaard produce whisky from Danish, organically grown barley malt. Mosgaard whisky is distilled twice in a custom-built copper pot still and then matured in custom-made small casks of 50/60 litres, which have often contained either bourbon or sherry.
