Plantation Mister Fogg Navy Rum
Plantation Mister Fogg Navy Rum is a blend of rums from Barbados (WIRD), Trinidad (TDL), Guyana (DDL), Mauritius (Saint Aubin), and Jamaica (Hampden and NRJ). With this rum, and in collaboration with a historian, an attempt has been made to recreate the old "navy rum" as authentically as possible.
The rum was originally aged in used bourbon barrels at the various distilleries, and then transported to France, where it was blended. After blending, it underwent additional aging in used oak barrels and extensive oxidation in large, open "wooden vats" to replicate the old, humid environment of the historic London docklands.
When you smell Plantation Mister Fogg Navy Rum, you'll detect notes of dried fruit, orange peel, chocolate, vanilla, plum, and caramel. The taste is full-bodied, offering notes of burnt molasses, caramel, and ripe fruit.
