Compagnie Des Indes Australia Beenleigh AD116 DK edt. 2022 rum is an 8-year-old single cask bottling from the likeable Frenchman Florent Beuchet, who is behind the independent rum bottler Compagnie des Indes (CDI). The rum was distilled at the Beenleigh distillery in South Queensland, Australia, in December 2013 and bottled in September 2022. The rum is made from local Australian sugarcane molasses, and several different yeast strains were used for fermentation. This gives the rum a fresh character and a sweet, fruity taste, which is enhanced by distillation in a copper pot still. Compagnie Des Indes Australia Beenleigh AD116 DK edt. 2022 rum has a light colour and delightfully fresh aromatic notes of fruit and freshly cut grass. The taste has notes of honey, stone fruit and vanilla, culminating in fresh grass in the aftertaste. The rum is bottled at cask strength and is completely without added sugar or colouring. Limited edition of 225 numbered bottles. Should be enjoyed neat. 59.1% - 70 cl.

Compagnie des Indes is an independent rum bottler. Florent Beuchet is the likeable Frenchman behind these rum bottlings, which focus on a number of renowned distilleries such as Foursquare (Barbados), Uitvlugt/DDL (Guyana), Worthy Park (Jamaica), and Caroni from Trinidad (now closed). Florent Beucher is true to the concept of authentic rum, so Compagnie des Indes is, with few exceptions, produced without added sugar.
