LangeTwins Family Winery 2019 Sand Point Zinfandel

Sand Point Zinfandel comes from LangeTwins Family Winery in California, USA. The grapes for this well-structured and affordable Zinfandel come from selected parcels among the family's vineyards. The vines are on average over 30 years old, and the wine is partly aged, predominantly in American oak (used 1-2 times), contributing to the brilliant "unplugged" fruit of Zinfandel. 

The bouquet beautifully presents deliciously ripe and spicy berries, elegantly balanced by an appealing acidity that elevates the wine. This Zinfandel over-delivers for its price and is an outstanding representative of popular Californian Zinfandel.

The Lange family arrived in Lodi, California, as early as 1870 and established their first vineyards in 1912. However, the significant improvement in quality only came in 1973 when Brad and Randall Lange took over The River Ranch. The winery and all 73 vineyards are still owned by the Lange family, and all the grapes for the Sand Point series come from these own vineyards spread across the AVAs of Clarksburg, Clements Hills, Alta Mesa, Mokelumne River & Jahant, all of which are double certified sustainable.

Sand Point is the Lange family's flagship and also their value-for-money series. The wines are produced to be exceptionally healthy, appealing, and accessible, and on top of that, they are some of the very best buys in Californian wine.
