SBS Dominican Republic 2009 rum
SBS Dominican Republic 2009 rum is a single cask rum, based on sugarcane juice and distilled in a column still in the Dominican Republic in 2009. The rum matured in an ex-bourbon cask and then a cognac cask before being bottled at 52% alcohol strength in February 2025.
SBS stands for "Single Barrel Rum" and is produced by the Danish importer and independent bottler 1423 ApS. The popular rum series has been around for quite a few years now, and with the latest "SBS Spring 2025" releases, more than 200 different bottlings have been made since the beginning.
When nosing the SBS Dominican Republic 2009 rum, notes of green apples, juicy grapes, and an elegant hint of oak are perceived. The taste is dry and oak-driven with notes of dried fruits, creamy vanilla, and ripe grapes.
SBS Dominican Republic 2009 rum is limited to only 386 bottles and exclusively bottled for the Danish market. This rum is not chill-filtered. 52% - 70 cl.

The SBS Rum releases are generally unsweetened (without added sugar), non-chill filtered, and at a higher alcohol strength (some of the SBS rum bottlings are even bottled at cask strength).
