This unique SBS Venezuela 2014 single cask rum was tropically aged for 9 years in Venezuela in ex-bourbon casks, and then aged for 2 years in Denmark in something as special as Swedish Virgin Oak / new Swedish oak.

When we heard about the cask and then tasted the rum, we quickly ordered the entire cask for Rombo. We don't recall ever having tasted rum aged in Swedish Virgin Oak before. At the same time, the taste is complex and persistent with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, dried fruit, and oak spices, among others.

The SBS Venezuela 2014 Swedish Oak Rombo Edition is the 215th release in the fantastic SBS series (Single Barrel Selection). As usual, no sweetness has been added to the rum. To preserve its natural taste, it has also not been chill-filtered.
