Mhoba

Mhoba Rum is rum from South Africa, which we don't usually see very often on the rum world map, and there's even a Danish hand involved, as Knud Strand is part of this exciting project. Rombo himself met Mhoba at the UK Rum Fest in London a few years ago, and the Mhoba stand at the rum festival was definitely the stand we visited the most, as they were both very kind people and, not least, some very exciting rum, if you're into natural and more powerful, non-sweet rum. Mhoba rum is primarily "Pure Sugarcane Rum," made from the fresh sugarcane juice from the sugarcane grown on the Mhoba Sugar Estate near the small village of Malalane in South Africa. The rum is distilled in pot stills that they built themselves. All in all, this is a truly handcrafted spirit.
